Electrolysis technology purifying water
A unique, environment friendly water disinfecting solution
GB Water provides a unique disinfection technology, an equipment that produces an environmentally friendly disinfectant liquid to purify water at the point of use and disinfects surfaces.

GB Water’s disinfectant is produced by an improved electrolysis technology using
only 3 components:
water + salt + electricity
We call this solution
GB IONSIX
GB IONSIXHow does it work?
The disinfectant liquid, IONSIX, which consists of six different active ingredients (Cl, ClO₂, O₃, O, H₂O₂, NaOh) is highly effective in killing pathogens (viruses, bacteria, fungi) including resistant bacteria (eg. Legionella) that single-agent disinfectants cannot remove. It exerts its antiseptic effect by breaking down the cell membrane of viruses, bacteria and fungi, so that resistance cannot develop.
Its application continuously cleans the water supply involved in its use and prevents biofilm formation in the pipe system. Moreover, its disinfectant effect lasts for a longer period of time compared to conventional methods.

IONSIX - an eco-friendly biocide
The disinfectant liquid, IONSIX produced by GB Water technology is a biocide, and therefore it is not classified as a hazardous material. IONSIX therefore is not subject to regulations on the storage and use of hazardous substances. As a result, the administrative work and costs associated with the installation and operation of the technology are minimal. It does not require a permit.

GB Water technology is the eco-friendly solution to properly disinfect water on site.
When we’ve developed our solution we created a sustainable system. GB Water Technology is cheaper than alternative solutions, both on the investment and on the operational side, and various services are built on it. The disinfectant liquid decomposes back into its elements, leaving no harmful residues. This efficient and innovative process is truly environmentally friendly compared to other solutions currently in use and can be operated in a sustainable way on an industrial scale.
GB IONSIXTechnology and implementation
The technology is based on the principle of conventional electrolysis. The system is based on a device that uses a small amount of high purity salt (NaCl, EN973, EN 16401) and electricity to produce the disinfectant liquid, GB IONSIX, from the incoming water at the point of use. The right amount of IONSIX is then pumped into the water system using a chemical dosing pump.
Installing GB Water technology can easily be done in a few hours with a one-time, low-cost investment. Running costs are also very low where the salt needs to be refilled which can also be calculated in advance. As the equipment and the solution itself is modular, it can be easily integrated into existing plumbing solutions and can also be installed to supplement or replace existing disinfection procedures.
Once installed, the equipment can be operated fully automatically. Salt must of course be provided on site and its connection to the hot and/or cold water network must be guaranteed at all times. One piece of equipment (which produces the disinfectant liquid) can serve several dosing points with the locally produced GB IONSIX disinfectant liquid.
The dosage of IONSIX is determined according to the specific characteristics of the disinfection site. It is possible to determine the amount of disinfectant to be added according to the quantity and/or quality of the water.
Control measurements are carried out manually with chlorine and ORP meters and verified by accredited laboratory measurements.
As an upgrade a remote monitoring and control system can be easily added. This will allow the user to remotely monitor and control the operation of the equipment and to conduct real-time water quality controls.
Daily maintenance:
As part of our system manual we suggest that the technicians check on the system on a daily basis. This only requires a few minutes. As part of the implementation we’ll train your technicians on site to make sure that GB Water’s technology runs smoothly.
Regular maintenance:
As part of our service we offer regular maintenance (usually every 6 months), that means the review of the complete system, deliver the necessary salt supply and visit the site in case of malfunction and service requirements.
Environment friendly technologyWhat makes GB Water Technology more efficient on the market?
A sustainable system was our key goal so that more can harness the power of clean water and disinfection.
- Our investment costs are lower just like the operating costs through more efficient salt degradation.
- A more advanced management system allows for optional real-time remote monitoring/control and fault dispatching.
- The concentrated disinfectant salt content is significantly lower and therefore does not cause corrosion.
- The GB Water process does not produce chlorine gas, as most electrolysis processes.
- Finally, it has the same capacity but smaller physical size, which makes it easier to install in engineering spaces.
